I feed the Sportmix Premium 26/18 in the blue and white bag. Pretty good feed, dogs eat it good and not a lot of stool to cleanup. For the price it is best I have found.

I've never tried it so I can't give my opinion. I know several use it though!

I have fed the 24/20 Black Bag

and I really liked it. Went back to ProPlan though. But I would not be scared to feed it again. Real good fed for the money. Won't go wrong with it at all. JMO!!!!!!!!!!!!

i like it a lot. as good a food as money can buy, for the price. No doubt Pro-Plan is better, but you can't buy it for 20.00 per bag

just curious capt ag, what kind of discount do you get by buying it by the 10 or 20 bags at a time.

I been feeding SportMix for a few years now and been pleased with it.

I normally buy 10 bags at at time and get a $1.00 break off each bag -- not much but it adds up over time.

I have heard good things about Southern States Advanced line of feed and been testing a couple dogs on it and so far really like the results.

I have a dog with Hip Dysplasia and he is one of the dogs I have beed testing the SS feed on and there seems to be a bounce to his step since he has been on it.

Sportmix

I fed it for about a year, thought it was a good feed until I switched to a truly GREAT food..............Purina Pro Plan and Purina Hi-Pro....................I only have 2 hounds, one gets the Pro-Plan, the other the Hi-Pro, I also have 2 "yard" dogs and they get Purina Dog Chow, and I have a beagle puppy who gets Purina Puppy Chow....................If it doesnt say Purina......I dont want it.!!

It was AMAZING at the dif I noticed in my hounds looks, performance, and the amount of cleanup in the kennel.

You get what you pay for in this world, Sportmix is a step above Ol'Roy, thats about it.

I am going to try Purina One on 1 of my hounds to see what it is like..............................feed what your dogs do good off of and what you can afford...........But, you can pay more, feed less, and come out ahead in the long run.....................................Tim
