Ok, have to be fast, in the middle of whelping, hubby is doggie sitting at the moment. First puppy born at 9:30 pm, what a nightmare. She was butt first and stuck. Took all me and hubby could do to get her out. I thought for sure she would be dead. I was crying, had to take a nerve pill and chased it with a beer (I hate beer). But Frank finally got a good hold on the legs and was able to deliver her alive and well. She is a Bluetick and she will be staying, we named her Trouble. A Redtick female followed and Autumn just had a Redtick male. These pups are BIG! Will update more later. Will post picture's tomorrow. Mama is doing very good. I'm proud of her and of hubby, he is up to his ears in afterbirth and slime.

Ok here they are. total of 7 (I was right in my guess ) 2 bluetick female, 2 redtick female, 2 redtick male and 1 bluetick male. Actually the 1 male has a red head and black body spots, so not sure on his coloring yet.

Got to bed at 4:30 this morning. She delivered 7 puppies in 6 1/2 hrs. She is doing great, real good mama this time.

First pic. take note to the bluetick at the top of the picture...That is TROUBLE lol.



Next shot..TROUBLE is hiding in the lower part of the pile.

LOL...I slept in til 11:30 this morning. Hubby got up and tended the mama and babies. I had to laugh last evening when the second bluetick female was born, she wasn't even out of the sac right she was sucking on her back foot. Got her cleaned up and put her to mom's belly and she took to that like a duck to water. Never had a puppy born before that was sucling on it's foot.

WONDERFUL... AWESOME and SOOOOooo cute! LOVE the color variety! They look REALLY healthy and mom looks tired but GREAT!
