GRNTCH’PR’STAMEY’S CAROLINA SACKETT AKA “CLAUDE” AKA “PAPPY” WAS LAID TO REST YESTERDAY. HE WAS 12 YEARS OLD. I’D HAVE TO LOOK AT PAPERS TO BE EXACT.

HE WAS AS FINE A COON DOG AS ANYONE COULD ASK FOR. EVEN WHEN WE GOT HIM AT 10 YEARS OLD, HE STILL GAVE 100% EVERY TIME YOU TURNED HIM LOOSE.

WE TRIED FOR 2 YEARS TO GET HIS BLOOD IN WITH SIDS. WE TRIED BREEDING HIM TO SIDNEY A FEMALE OUT OF SID X SKEETER, LITTERMATE SISTER TO SID JR.

WE HAD A NTCH DAUGHTER WE BRED TO SID FOR PICK OF THE LITTER. THAT DEAL FELL THROUGH AS WELL.

I GUESS IT WAS JUST NOT EVER MEANT TO BE TO MESH THESE TWO BLOODLINES IN OUR KENNEL.

WE NEVER GOT TO GET ANY SEMEN OFF HIM EITHER.

HERE WAS PAPPY (FAR RIGHT) BACK IN HIS YOUNGER DAYS WHEN HE MADE IT INTO THE TOP 20 OF THE 2002 UKC WORLD HUNT.


HERES A COPY OF HIS WIN PHOTO FROM WHEN HE PLACED 16TH IN THE WORLD…MAN HE WAS A LOOKER IN HIS YOUNGER DAYS…I’VE GOT THE BIG 8 X 11 COLOR AT HOME HANGING ON THE WALL.

YEAH WELL. 3 MONTHS LATER WE GOT A CHECK FOR THE STUD FEE IN THE MAIL. BUT THE STUD FEE WAS NOT WHAT WE WANTED IN THE FIRST PLACE. WE WANTED THAT BLOOD IN OUR KENNEL.
