We all hear how bad things are in the coon hound world, but it isn't any worse than any where else in this world.

You want to really see the bad side of people ya should see what I see in Scouts and Little League. Coon hunting world has nothing on either group!

I think

it sucks too.But what really chaps my a@# worse than anything is how many hunters out there that will do anything(cheat) to put a win on their dog.The first and foremost reason I go to the hunts is to meet and enjoy the conpany of other guys and gals who share the same passion of coonhuntin',like myself. Now,if I can put a win on my dog, that's icing on the cake. And I'll be the first to offer congrats to other hunters.Life is just too short to have to put up with and listen to a bunch of bull@#$%.Of course, that's just MY opinion.Guess everyone doesn't feel the same as myself.

There is a lot of jealousy in the coonhound world, way too often it spills over onto this board. I have read on here countless times someone complaining that such and such dog had to have cheated to win a big hunt because they hunted with it one night and it didn't look good. It's not just the hunts, though, seems like everytime a stud dog starts getting a big name it gets bashed as well.

Ya know,

I've got a dog that made Gr.Nt.Ch. last Nov.I can't tell you how many hunts I entered tryin' to get 5 wins on him. Now, don't get me wrong,I know he's not THE perfect coonhound.I'll be the first to admit it.And a lot of those hunts he got beat fair and square.Let's face it,it's gonna happen. But Ialso was in quite a few hunts that (for lack of a better word)SUCKED because in those hunts I drew out with dudes that would pull all the punches just to put that win on their dog. What I can't figure out is "How do they feel like they're doin' the dog justice and even worse, themselves.I just hung in there cuz I knew RED would get it sooner or later. It was just a matter of time.I had that much faith in him.And guess what? He did.It was just a frustrating journey along the way.
