I would say that if that coon is buried in the leaves, it is in a place of refuge. And if you put a light up there, you have disturbed that place of refuge. So from now on, unless that coon waves and says "hi", your trees are getting circled.

But remember hitting a tree with a stick is ok. It is not disturbing!
