 (Off Topic) Katie Medals at the Special Olympics

Just wanted to share and brag a little on our daughter Katie. She is 11 years old and has Down Syndrome.
She placed:

GOLD in the 400 meter
Bronze in the 100 meter
Bronze in the standing long jump
Ribbon 4th place in softball throw.





This little one also hits the woods with the hounds!!



Thanks for looking she is our gift from up above.

GREAT Job Girl-Hey Mike how is it going besides a great job by Katie. Chris told me he has Joe back. I moved to Wyoming and am the forman on a 48000 acre buffalo ranch. Not many coon here but alot of bobcat, lions and elk and the whitetail and mule deer are huge. Nice hearing about Katie again.

Good job, Katie!!!!! I volunteered at our local Special Olympics yesterday. The earnest you see in the kids competing is amazing. I missed the last 4 years because of Black and Tan Days. This year the local competition was moved back a week and I was so glad to be able to go again. The kids are so well behaved. I did have one heat of long jumpers that were real characters. They had me and everyone around us in stitches. Is Katie able to go to the next step? If so, I wish her the best.

how old is she? my brother does a lot with the Special Olympics and it's amazing to watch, i always loved watching him go have so much fun, he loves and from the looks of it so does Katie!!

and i'd like to say that if you've never watched the people at the S.O. go watch, it beautiful to see how many people help and how much fun everyone is having, competing or just helping out.
