Youth Hunts / Major Hunts

My son was wondering why they never have youth hunts and events at some of the Bigger events , Like Autumn Oaks , Winter Classic and some of the other hunts . I think it would be a good idea to have them at the larger events . Take Autumn Oaks for a example , you could have have the adults or whoever hunt in the regular hunt and maybe have a youth hunt on Saturday night . I would say there would be several supplier's and vender's that would be willing to donate some sort of price for the kids . You could keep all the kids all hunting together , I know there are some kids that compete weekly with the Adults , but there is many that do not. I think it is a great idea , what do some of the other people that get on here think. Remember the kids are the FUTURE of the sport. Thank -You for reading and any positive input you think , maybe get this thing going for future large events or even sooner would be better.

There are lots of BIG youth events each year. Just look at this months Bloodlines. 11 in there in this month alone including BBOA Youth Nationals in Illinois, Kids World All Around in Indiana & Youth Nationals in Ohio.

All 3 are Major youth events and all 3 up NORTH. As a parent of a youth I would like to see more youth events down south. But I don't think you can reasonably say that there is not enough MAJOR events for the youth.

I think UKC does an outstanding job for the youth. I just wish they were spread out over the county a little more to give more kids an opportunity to participate.

I'm talking like at Autumn Oaks , Winter Classic and etc. I know there is youth only events , but I'm talking about having youth events at these larger hunts. I know other registries have youth events tied in with their regular hunts , why not UKC. I'm not saying UKC don't do a GOOD job putting on Youth only events , but why not have youth events at these BIGGER hunts tied in with it.
