It is that time of the year again to be thinking of the Ohio Sportsmen & Sporting Dog Association Nationwide Childen's Hospital Benefit.

After two years of trying to sell stud services we have decided not to do them this year. We do not feel it is fair to the stud dogs and breeders to only get a few dollars for each stud certificate. If there is any other way you could help that would be wonderful.

UKC Bench Show Deadline: 2:00p.m. Entry Fee: $15.00
Pairs: $15.00
Dual Champion class: $15.00
Treeing Contest: 3:30 p.m. Entry Fee: $5.00
Auction: 4:00 p.m.
UKC Nite Hunt Deadline: 8:00 p.m. Entry Fee: $20.00

Two-Hour Hunt - Hunting Judges - There will be High Scoring Trophies for each breed

There will be King and Queen of Hunt and Show. To win King and Queen owner/handler must be a 2009 year member of the OSSDA. Membership is $20.00 single and $25.00 for family for a year. Family is consider parents and any child under 18 years old. Memberships will be taken at all OSSDA events.

In 2008, $7020 was donated to the Hospital, which is a research hospital that contributes to all the other hospitals in the state of Ohio. There will be plenty of items to buy in the auction and there will be a raffle for money from $400 to $50 and a Regal Dog Box.

I know march is still a little ways away but..... who all are planning to attend? I've been there every year since it's been in Medina.They are a good group of people who run the club,to help out the OSSDA and the childrens hospital benefit.Wonderful grounds and club.Always a good time is had.So join us this year and see for yourself.....

With leopards now being able to participate I may see if I can round up a few buddies and come up. I have always heard this was a nice hunt! Definately a good cause!

I am the President of the Morrow Co. Coonhunters Assoc.,at Cardington,I haven't talked to you since National Redbone Days,,,we had our election during our december meeting ,,Mark Baers schedule driving the truck was changed somewhat so he opted out of that job this year ,, so I told him and the rest of the members that I would give it a try,,Terry Snyder,,President and Parry Edmund is V-President,,,Chris Baer is still treasure and Donna Horn is Now in MY old job as secratary,,,Mark and I talk daily,,,he is helping me alot to take on this new Job. Right now we have hit the ground running trying to get everything in order for the spring classic on april 30 and may 1st and 2nd,,,and making sure we have our hunt and show dates all in order,,,seems like UKC changed some of our dates by a week instead of a few days ,,Chris was asking me today if your benefit hunt had changed by alot so i told her i had seen where you had posted on here and that I would check you out,,,I am finding out quick,,the time you put into this job,can be never ending,,I hope to at least give a good effort,,,and hope to get out to other clubs and hunts to help promote our club,,,,don't know what I can get done but will try my best to get around,,,,good luck to you and yours this year
