Is there any thing out there that i can use on my female for fleas, thats safe around the puppies.

It wont do anything to her but make her breathe stink!! Our friends use it on there Redbone dogs all the time. We were going to try it with Molly, but we had to take the puppies away from her at 1 1/2 days old. If you have ever heard of the 1997 High Scoring Redbone of the World Hunt, a Redbone dog named Greene's Hillbilly Brandy, that is who does the Garlic tablets. They say that the fleas cant stand it.

yes i have heard of that Redbone, Thats what we have is Redbones. And i just noticed she has fleas. But GARLIC.......
i don't think it's a very good idea to take her pups for that long, This is her first litter and she seems to be having a hard time with her feedings. i have to lay with her to make her feed them. I think im gonna have to take them soon my self and feed them..

This mite not help in the long run ,but a dish detergent and water wash will get the ones on her . Move her and pups to a new spot make sure it is flea free.

I hope Old Timer was kidding, as I am sure he was, or talking about something other than the Lubricant - WD-40.

This contains industrial sulfates, do not use this.

I would go along with PeeDee, or maybe move them teporarily and totally disinfect the entire kennel, or pen you have them in. I would get a garden sprayer and use a good flea and parasite killer and spray the entire area down real good, including the surounding yard. Then bath the dogs real good. Depending on what you use, you can get your dog and pups back in within a day or 2. Also clean their dog house out real good. Including new bedding. I amsure this is not what you were wanting to hear, but it would be safe, though it is a little work.

Frontline and Advantage are both very safe for Mom and pups. Yes you actually have to spend money to purchase these products, But they work and are very safe.

That is the extent of my free advice for the day. ;-)

Been using it for years and never have had any problems, than I sure you wouldn't use my mixture of old motor oil, sulfur and turpentine for torn pads and hot spots. But it works.

I've got a neighbor that is a Vet for Bayer, so I have enough free Advantage to treat dogs for a LONG time. The stuff WORKS.

With 4th of July coming up, I hope nobody gets an ignition source too close to their WD40/diesel fuel/oil-soaked hound or they might find they have more "fireball" than they bargained for, lol.

told me about this back in the 70's I think, take your hand and run it against the hair and follow it with the spray. It kills them dead. Picked a running hound up in Southern Missouri in 98 and did it to him before I unloaded him and worked great. Dogs are like people, some may have a problem with it, but I haven't seen any up here. Have used it on Reds, Blues, and Spotted ones.
