Different strokes for different folks. I can not stand or tolerate a tight mouth dog!!!!!!!! I sell any I end up with very quickly.
I like to hear a hounds progress on track. That way I always know where they are at. There is no way my heart could stand hunting a tight mouth dog especially in Indiana or Ohio! Michigan roads are bad enough. When i can't hear a dog I am as jumpy as a long tailed cat in a room full of rockers.

i agree on knowing were the dog is and the progression on a track, lol, the dogs i have now open no more than they have to,, on a bad track its every 6 seconds or so they open and open then treed,,, i just sold one that said way to much for me on track,, like didint shut up after he struck,,,,when he struck it was wide open hot or cold and then treed,, out of Tom Lechlitners Son dog,, nice young dog but he was just always like that and he was kinda timid and i hate a timid dog too
i was just sayin i would rather one bark too little than way too much in my opinion
