History

Some one should put together a
book about the coon dogs and history of the world of Coon hunting. tell some storys about actual hunts and whats happend on the cast, sounds like somthing Russ Bellar could be a part off im talking about people telling the real storys about real hunts that happend, with pictures of cast. men like Dave Dean, could contribute, also some of the more known Handlers not breaders .
Berton Owne, (not sure about spelling) on that one but any one who knows Vanzants Sam Knows who im talking about

Great idea!
One of my favs is the one about Bellar getting barred Jr to wear a wig and beard so he could handle Russ's dog in the World Hunt. Jr did it and won. 'Course they couldn't keep quiet about it, got found out and had their big win took away. Both are considerably more civilized today but there are some great stories from the old days.
We think people are so crazy today.....fact is, we are downright tame today compared to the craziness that went on with those past generations.
