I have seen it done several times and none seemed to comeback. Don't remember the price of the surgeries though. Is it an actual tumor or Warts?

its a tumor shaped like a kidney on the inside of his gum and and two marble size bumps on the outside of the same gum. the one inside is bleeding from his bottom teeth rubbing. he is at the vet right now and they are suppose to call and let me know what it is forsure and a price which always scares me comin from a vet. the dog is 1 1/2 yrs old and is NICE. i hope its no big deal cause it seems evrytime i get the REAL DEAL something happens lol.

I read something aout this in the akc gazette last month. I'll see if I can find it when I get home. if I remember corectly its contagious between dogs. I was incorrect about it being a virus. It can be passed from dog to dog (sniffing butts and such) and can show in mouth as a cauliflower appearance.

here's a link to the Merck Vet Manual and info about it. Not sure if this is what you had or not:

cost of removing a tumor my old lab had a breast tumur the size of a hens egg one vet said justwatch that it doen't get larger i can remove it for 700 dollars well in a years tie it didn't change then suddenly it grew to the size of a softball a second vet first did a biopsy found no cancer and for 150 took it out kept her 3 days and sent her home went back 10 days later to get stitches out total cost was the 150 dollars thank god there are still good old country vets around that will consider the animal before the almighty dollar. old doc had her with him when i went to pick her up he said she looked too sad to leave in the cage he just loved her said he wished he had seen her in her prime would have loved to have a pup from her

thanks everyone, the vet removed hemi's tumor this morning. she didnt have to remove any teeth and cleaned them all while she was in there. he also has an ear infection so im getting med for that along with medicine and pain killers for the surgery. im going to go ahead and have her send the mass to a lab to make sure it isnt cancer which she thinks it isnt. i will have less then 400 in him and believe me he is worth every penny, cause one like him dont come around often.
