OKAY - for those who are just reading (or not) the nationwide posts here about HSUS bills, but not acting to defeat them:
HSUS continues to constantly introduce bills that APPEAR to have different meanings. But here's their plan -
Bills are proposed to: limit the number of animals on properties; require spay/neuter under specified situations that sometimes APPEAR to be nonthreatening; require special types of containment/housing; require expensive "permits"; prohibit certain methods of transporting animals (dogboxes, trailers, etc.), prohibit certain standard dog owner equipment.
BOTTOM LINE - the above doesn't even BEGIN to touch on the HSUS bills that threaten future animal ownership NATIONWIDE.
If HSUS wins even ONE BILL, they then have a foot in the door to make it stronger everywhere.
Remember, HSUS has millions of $ to pay lobbyists - be WE are the voters & if we make ourselves heard and also EDUCATE the politicians, we have a chance to win this war. But it will not end until the general public is made aware of the true HSUS/PETA goals of no animal "ownership" (only guardians) and no animals for food, clothing medical research or entertainment.
