Breaking off skunks ???

A freind of mine has a top notch female that after hunting a couple times with a dog that caught skunks she is too. He's considering letting her go because of it. He's tried breaking scent to no avail. What can be done besides hauling her around & turning loose on them & shocking to break her? Other than this new habit she's a very nice accurate, hard hunting, get split with the meat coondog & sure hate to see her go. Thanks

IF HE DONT LIKE HER, SEND HER TO ME. I LIKE SKUNK. ONCE YOU GET USED TO THE SMELL, IT AINT TOO BAD. THEY GO GREAT WITH TATERS, AND THERE FUR SURE DOES MAKE A PURTY COAT FOR THE WIFE.

ALL JOKES ASIDE, THEY HAVE BEEN RUTTING, AND THAT MAKES THEM MORE ABUNDANT IN SOME PLACES. IN A WEEK OR TWO, SHE MAY NOT BE AS BAD AFTER THEM. I KNOW IT WILL STINK, BUT FIND A FRESH KILL ON THE ROAD AND PUT IT IN A BARREL WITH HER AND ROLL HER. DO THIS 2 OR 3 TIMES AND IT MAY SLOW HER DOWN OR STOP HER.

The breaking scent is a joke imo.Tri-Tronics is a sure fix in the right situation.

The Tritronics way worked great for me, between getting sprayed in the face and getting lite up with the Trashbreaker mine`s never messed with another.

i had a female like this that i think was about blinded one night in an attack. she layed around and hacked and gagged and rubbed her face in the dirt for a week. i think she broke herself cause she never messed with one again.

It could be worse. Many years ago, I had a Treeing Tenessee Brindle that would catch skunks alive and bring them back to me!

He would do the same thing every time. He would shake the skunk exactly 3 times and then throw it into the air. He would freeze as if on point as long as the skunk didn't move a muscle. The second the skunk twitched he would repeat the entire scenario again and again.

The last time I saw him he was headed east towards Port Huron. I sort of went berserk, and he thought a different county was prudent.

I looked for the crazy dog for two weeks, but with no luck.

My vote would be for the tritronic solution.
