getting coons to look

why is it getting so hard to make them look?? dont give me there not there stuff.. it seams to me that they look less and less every year. are they learning this from years past or is it just a fluke ?? the best thing i have used to get them to look is a blues harp but that is not working as good as last year..

It sounds like all the stupid coons where killed. Now that the season is almost over, only the smart ones are left and they are still here cause they know all the tricks. Last week me and my buddies treed one that would'nt look for nothing. The only way we found him is because, he happend to be fatter than the limb he was on. lol. You could have someone tap the tree with a stick while you are shinning.

I know what you mean, treed one last night that wouldn't look at all, I squalled at him, and did everything I could. He wouldn't look, still got him though. He just wasn't hid well enough

I hear what you're saying. Seemed like years ago we would find them by the eyes but now it's a gray bump. It's a coon but they won't look.

We were able to get two treed on the outside last night. Neither looked. Just saw them big lumps on the side of the limb. I had trouble seeing one of em. He was the same color as the bark! I need new glasses.

I have a hard time sometimes, I hate leaving a tree and calling it slick sometimes cause I feel like they are there. I just can't find them. I tend to look for a long time
