Which has the brains? A female or male?

If you had to pick one female or male to have has a hunting dog which would you pick and why?

I would take a female over male. Because from my experiences I like how females hunt. They act like they have more sense about them and I think they listen better. Males make good hunters don't get me wrong but I think their hard headed myself.

Whats your opinion? Thanks. Thought this would be a interesting subject.

I would prefer to hunt a male, far less trouble....

For some reason I get along better with females, I think they work a little harder to please me, males tend to hunt for themselves.

Females also seem to have fewer anger issues at the tree.

I dont believe one is more intelligent than the other.

I've always perfered males. I dont believe one is more intelligent than the other and i've had/seen rough dogs that were male and female.

I can only keep 3 dogs. Due to the difficulty of getting top females to breed to males, I try to keep females.

As far as hunting goes, male or female doesn't matter as long as the dog has the tools.

I like a female better I have had two young males and both were hard headed. I have a female that is very smart and I wouldnt take anything for her. I have hunted several dogs for people and every one ha been a female and so far they all were decent acting hounds. My good friend has 5 year old gyp that handles like a brand new Cadilac. A little kid could hunt her with no problem.
Just my opinion but i Know plenty of people with good males too.

i find females easier and more willing to please you as far as going in heat twice a year i would rather put up with them then males that are in heat all the time as far as intelligence i find no differance as far as being stubbord and hard headed in my cas found males were the worst.
i also think differant strains are differant as to male or female and the way they are.
i have a blue male pup that was hard to get through to had a mind of his own once i got through to him couldn't want a better easy to handle pup, so i guess it's a matter of personal preferance
