I'm coming to the show, but have nothing to show right now. I need to pick up some things from Jim Wales. Talked to Mary today, and she says they will be there.

As for the hunt - bring a hardy dog, its COLD OUT THERE!!! Adog with a good nose should be able to find an old boar out roaming in a swamp somewhere, checkin dens - maybe bring your snowshoes to get there!

Chris good seeing you again. So what did you think of the bluetick puppy I think your girlfriend kinda liked him. You better go ahead and get her one.

By the time I got back to Chesaning they already had about 2- 4 inches and then this morning there was about 6 or 7 inches total.

Eugene any results from the hunt?

That is a nice looking pup. Ya, Carrie liked him. but we already have one in the house, and until we move into our new place in the spring, I am stuck in town. So... Only one dog for now.

Lets here about last nights hunt!

Hope it went a little better than the show organization. I'm not sure of the gals name who did not get to enter. It was not deadline according to the club clock, but the Judge would not let her enter. She was quite upset. Hopefully she contacts UKC, or they see this post. That Judge needs an update on entry policy, and also the proper order to call the classes. (though it did not hurt anything with the small entry, rules are rules!)

THE HUNT WENT BETTER THAN THE SHOW,WE HAD 1 NTCH AND 5 REG DOGS.
THEY ALL HAD PLUS POINT CAST WINNERS.SEE YOU AT THE NEXT ONE ON FEB 7TH AND YES SHE DID HAVE 3 MINUTES TO ENTER THE BENCH SHOW AND YOU CAN NOT USE A CELL PHONE FOR THE OFFICAL TIME,IT HAS TO BE A CLUB CLOCK FOR OFFICAL TIME.

I was with Naomi Frye who's entries were refused. We walked in the club house and the clock hanging on the wall that everyone could see read 3:56 and the deadline was at 4:00. We immediatly sat down and started feverishly filling out entry slips. The judge rushed over and very rudely told Naomi that the entries were closed and she could not show, she calmly explained that the club clock had not reached the dead line and the judge hollered back that he was using the time on his cell phone as the offical time. My understanding of the rules is that the official time must be from the club's clock the must be visable to everyone not the judges cell phone clock that is hidden in his pocket. This judges behavior was inexcusable. He was unprofessional and unbecoming of a licensed UKC official. I would think that the United Kennel Club would want their licenced Bench Show judges to represent the organization in a fair and professional manner. The conduct of this judge was neither fair or professional.
