It's a very close family

People talk about blueticks having walker in them, or walkers having blue in them, or blues and walkers having english in them, well the answer is yes. Some say walkers have running fox walker blood in them, and they do, but so do blueticks and english. It's a very close family.

If you go back a few years, do a little research, you will discover they all came from the same dogs. I believe the two hounds that started it all were called Boone Boy, and Sue. These hounds produced tri-colored, ticked up, and spotted hounds. They were family and line bred for years before there was an open registry for blues or walkers. The tri-colored were bred to tri-colored, ticked to ticked, and so forth. From these hounds came blueticks, walkers, and english. Ever once in a while you will still get a ticked walker, or open blue dog, or even a redticked blue dog, or a blueticked english. Basically they all come from the same hounds before they became seperate breeds, and seperate strains. Research it for yourself. It is an interesting study, with quite a lot of information on the subject.

I could provide the names of the hounds, and people that pioneered the open trailing/ tree dog type hound.

Be careful before you criticize another breed. You may be talking junk about your dogs kinfolk, kindogs, or whatever.
