I still feel that way........only now I am single because he REALLY WAS "someplace he shouldn't have been!"

There are some really dedicated ones out there tho! Keep them in the woods!

I started to start "The Single Coonhunter's Thread"

Sounded way better them E-Harmony or whatever! Just gotta wonder how many Good-SINGLE men are out there that would like a good ol' fashion country gal that COOKS and HUNTS! Loves to show and old hound too!

if you lived here and liked to hunt every man around would be after you.men here like womean hunters but they are not enuff to go around they get grabed up fast if they like the outdoors.but i am luckey my girlfreand likes to hunt and she liks fishing better than i do.POST YOUR PICTER ANDE I WILL FIND YOU A GOOD MAN LONG AS HE CAN HUNT

I have met a lot of women that are married to coonhunters or dating coonhunters. Some which I enjoyed to be around and some I did not. I personally love that my husband has a hobby that he enjoys and he is good at. Sometimes it gets a little lonely but I have three great boy's that keep me on my toe's. Funny....I even have a hobby also. I travel a lot to the dog shows and the husband stays home with the kids. So I guess it is give and take both ways. He is so understanding when I tell him that I am going to Kentucky, Oklahoma or etc...for the weekend. But I guess when you are married to a coonhunter that is the life you choose and adapt to. Coonhunters and their wives are a different type of people, but great to be around and compete against. So good luck to you all in the woods and in the show ring.

You poor guys. I had to go find a guy and teach him how to coon hunt long before I decided to marry him.
He is so wonderful and understanding that he stayed home and took care of the house and hounds while I ran the Purina race.
I, for one, am very sure of how fortunate I am to have a coon hunting husband.

HE'S A GOOD HUSBAND!

Jack wakes up with a huge hangover after attending his company's Christmas Party.
Jack is not normally a drinker, but the drinks didn't taste like alcohol at all.

He didn't even remember how he got home from the party.
As bad as he was feeling, he wondered if he'd done something wrong. Jack had to force himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins, next to a glass of water on the side table.
And, next to them, a single red rose!!

Jack sits up and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. He looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotlessly clean. So is the rest of the house.
He takes the aspirins, cringes when he sees a huge black eye staring back at him in the bathroom mirror.

Then he notices a note hanging on the corner of the mirror written in red with little hearts on it and a kiss mark from his wife in lipstick:

'Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to get groceries to make you your favorite dinner tonight.
I love you, darling!
Love, Jillian'

He stumbles to the kitchen and sure enough, there is hot breakfast, steaming hot coffee and the morning newspaper.
His 16 year old son is also at the table, eating. Jack asks, 'Son...what happened last night?'

Son replies:
'Well, you came home after 3 A.M., drunk and out of your mind.
You fell over the coffee table and broke it, and then you puked in the hallway, and got that black eye when you ran into the door.

Confused, he asked his son, 'So, why is everything in such perfect order and so clean?
I have a rose, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me??'

His son replies, 'Oh THAT... Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your pants off, you screamed,
'Leave me alone, I'm married!!'

my first year of marriage to my husband was not fun. we work two different sjifts so i never seen him then come weekends
he was in the woods. so i figured if i wanted to see him,join him.
it has worked. i don't get to go hunting as much as i would like.
i get to go to shows and show a dog. i enjoy showing but whether be in the woods and hear the dog treeing and find the coon so i can tell the dog what a good job. between my husband
and a couple of his buddies they have made a DOG MONSTER.
SINCE I NEVER HAD ANY KIDS OF MY OWN THE DOGS ARE MY KIDS AND THEY HAVE SPOILED. yes we both do house work and i help with cleaning the kennel. we have become a team. i waited 30 some years to find him,i'm not letting him go. coon hunters are great husbands
