hunting tonight

Is going to be 20 degrees tonight and over a foot of snow. I need to go hunting . Anybody else and what are the conditions?

2 feet of snow here, went out on snowshoes when i got home to check a game cam...nothing moving out there..so I wont be either LOL.

i'm dying to go hunting!!! It's 27 degrees currently. IT was spitting flurries, nothing much though, clear now. I don't get done with work till 9pm so i'm not sure if it would be worth me going, but even if my young dogs run one to a den tree it's better than being tied up all the time. Where you hunt?

terry, theres a half a dozen of us that will pitch in on a pair of snow shoes for you,,if you bring are dogs back to the truck..lol

Was 30 degrees, 12 to 14'' of soft snow and the coons were in the creeks. Got four in 3 hours. Dan dogs waiting on the snow shoes.

Its Warm and Raining here, last nite was very humid, and about 65 degrees.
last nite, my hounds struck and ran a big boar Coon, when I got to the tree, they had their tongues hanging out. I shot that Coon out, with a CCI Stinger. I shot the Coon, and hit him directly in the middle of the bottom jaw, when I was skinning him out, the bullet, was under the hide, on the top of the skull.
Had a good hunt but quit early. Glad I did, because after I got home it started raining.

richard, i talked to terry on his cell while he was hunting..he seen a coon come out of a creek and run up a hill..said the snow was so deep you could barrely see the coon..all he could see was the snow pushing to each side of it...they must be really hungry to travel in that deep powdery snow..if i thought they would be out i would of went...

Dan dog the guy that invented snow shoes never had to climb a hill like Rattlesnake. Yes I saw the weather for tonight. Friday night looks like the next time to try hunting again. Hav a Merry Christmas everyone.

Snowshoes

I'll chip in, if Terry is really going to bring the dogs back. CUB (Allen Waller) keeps wantin' to go, but when I tell him I'll turn'em loose, if he'll go get them, he kinda' changes his mind about going. Glad you had a good hunt, Terry.
