Tracking System and Shock Collars...Cold weather

I have been in the habit of taking mine inside when it gets around 30 and colder..always worried about the cold weather killing batteries. Does anyone leave them in the dogbox/ truck with no problems during the winter months?

I take all my collars and lights in the house year round. It makes them last much longer and they look better too from not bouncing around in the box all the time.

Cold weather is hard on a battery's performance and they work better at warmer temps , but when storeing a battery , the cold will help preserve it. Alot of people keep them in the fridge when storeing , but they need to warm up a little to be ready to use...

Extreme heat will cause a lithium battery to decline in charge and can ruin them is what I have been told , but I am no expert.

I do keep my tracking system and collars in the house also...

Everyone Knows cold weather is bad for batterys, but, hot weather is worse! In your car/truck its not so much the battery but the oil in your engine, gets cold and tuff untill warm, that takes a lot of amps to start that motor!
