Opinions Please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am looking into buying some new tracking collars and was wondering if you all could give your opinions on different brands. I have heard alot about marshall and I know I like quick track but what about magnum, johnson, f & l ? let me know, thanks.

Everybody brags about the Marshal collars. While I don't see anything wrong with them I don't see anything better about them either. I 've been around a lot of different kinds and been told about how far this or that brand will reach and there isn't much difference in any of them. Kinda like Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. I use F&L and have been very pleased.

Gotta get a Toyota to notice any real difference.

collars

I appreciate the responses but one brand I was curious about that never was mentioned was magnum. Down here where I live is some of the thickest woods known to man and no collar will give you the complete range as advertised so i was hoping to get some good feedback on this question.

Pretty thick up here in NH. I have Johnson collars and have never been unable to get a signal..ever. They've also never needed to go back for repair. I really like them, and they're old but keep tickin. With that said I've never had any other brand so maybe I dont know what I'm missing LOL....but if one dies on me, I'll order another Johnson 16000 hr collar.

I use L&L 1600 Hr Tracking Collars, they are great, Completely waterproof, and the Batteries just keep on, going.
Really good performance. I hunt in East Texas, in places its so thick you have to climb over the brush, and have not lost a dog yet using this collar. My Reciever is a Tracker Maxima, and I do have some deep hunting hounds.

I would recomend these Collars to anyone.

I HAVE 4 DEER DOGS WITH 3 WILDLIFE COLLARS AND 1 MAGNUM COLLAR. I GET BETTER RANGE OUT OF THE WILDLIFE COLLARS THAN THE MAGNUM.

We use a Quicktrack box with Wildlife collars on both our coon dogs and deer dogs. Never had any problems out of that combo. Most of the other dog drivers at our deer club use the same.

I have marshall. tracker strike ,and wildlife. The strike collars are 6month throw aways if you ask me. The wildlife will get the job done most of the time. But the marshalls are the best bar none twice the signal strength as any If tried. The only down fall about a marshall Ive found is if your trying to track a dog and you have another dog close to you with a marshall on you get a lot of bleed over from close collar because they have so much output.

I'm sure I will catch slack for this, but I don't care. Get a Garmin and you will be very pleased with it. It must be idiot proof because I figured out how to use very quickly. I have had mine reach up to two miles in range, but you can get an antennae for your pickup to get closer to five (so I have heard). You can get a topographical map so you can see exactly where your hound is and what he is doing. Hunt with somebody that has one and make your own decision. I have hunted with people that have had several different systems, and it seems like they are never sure and get signal bounce so easily. I can promise that I am always sure and always right with my Garmin. Tell me a system that can give you exact direction and distance.
