I had a pretty good idea for my local club. I was thinking about doing a Battle of The Breeds style Hunt and Show here at our local club (Mercer County Coonhunters in Greenville PA) In order for this too work, I need to support of others. If you would be interested in seeing this hunt come into being, and compete for AWESOME trophies and other prizes, I need your input/support!

Here's the general gist.

All hounds entered in the hunt will be drawn and casted in a normal UKC Sanctioned hunt. After all the hounds have hunted the 2 hours, they are all brought back to the club, then the 7 dogs that are high scoring in their breed are selected. Then, out of those hounds, the Battle of the Breeds Hunt Champion will be selected.

Their would also be a bench show

I need to hear your opinion! All input welcomed!

Count in Milarken Kennels and Tamarack Kennels to be there..

i didn't really consider west valley's hunt and show to be a battle of the breeds. more like just a crowning of a king of show and king of hunt. to be a battle of breeds you almost have to pick out one winner of each breed and have them compete against each other. i liked the idea of sending out the top scoring dog of each breed to hunt again.
i will probably be down in feb. but all i have to show is shi. i'll have to start looking for a new prospect here in the future.

Thanks for all the great input guys! I'm hoping our club will pass this event idea. I think this would bring alot of people into our club. This will be an October event if we can vote yes on it!
