Not again

I live in a small town with a 3000 pop. in southern MN. This town in the last 15 years has had 10 killings. Last night right next door to me a man attacked a woman with a knife and her 3 children tried to defend thier mother during the assalt. He turned on the kids stabbing them over and over. The 12 year old boy died from knife wounds to the neck area, 8 year old girl died, the mother passed shortly after, 2 others in the hospital in credical condition. This isnt suppose to happen in small towns I thought. Just 3 mo ago I saw a man laying dead at the grocery store parking lot over a bad drug deal. Shot in the chest. I fill so sad for those children last night trying to protect thier mother and losing thier lives. This country is sick.

Dodge Center. Its ridiculas here. A man died in Jan from 3 men beating him and stabbing him, thier still awaiting trial. Just last summer 2 guys stabbed a man in his own house for his pay check. Cashed his check and left the body in the basement for 2 weeks before taking him and dumping him in the country. Get this those 2 guys stayed at his house and partied the whole time he was dead in the basement. Sick people. When a farmer found the body cops went to his adress and the 2 guys that killed him where still thier. Wierd.

Ya, I thought small towns where safe to raise a family, not this one. I think its the water. lol. Cops are even responsible for killing 3 different people defending themselves. We still have a unsolved murder here.

Small towns have a bad habit of getting taken over by drugs real quick. Last year for the first time in my life we had gangs roaming the streets here. Its becuase kids in small towns get board and they watch MTV then think they are 50 cent so they go buy some pot break into a car and start what they think is a good life.

I hate to see it thankfully our town is pretty tightnit and we did away with the problem relativly quick.

Your right, drugs are a big problem here, especially METH. Knew some guys here that got heavy into it. Dodge Center has the 2 biggest Meth busts in the state of MN, and still stands.

This really shocks me.

My wife and I drove up to Minneapolis a few weeks ago to watch the Vikings play and everyone in Minnesota seemed super friendly and easy going.

Sounds like the courts need to stiffen up.

So Very Sorry...

Growing up in the Boston area...sadly it doesn't shock me as much as it should..... Being in a little "country" suburb of Boston we have had 1, maybe 2 murders here since I moved here in 1985... Now we have a kid who died after a drinking party...20 arrested 2 weeks later and yesterday 13 more... all underage drinking parties....

Sad....... the kids... the adults.... just sad............

Prayers out for things to get better,
sincerely Heather and Bob

So I take it the father attacked his family since they are not looking for any suspects?

To many stories what happened and all, but I guess the 12 year old boy stabbed the man in the back numerous times trying to keep him from stabbing his mother. Then the man turned on the kids. Sad deal.

well, they finally got the dope head down here that killed two last week, but not till after he killed one more and critically wounded his brother and left him for dead.. they had sherrifs department and K9 unit surrounding the section i live in.. the guy matched the same discription as the guy who shot the last two victims in mineral point later that same night..
