Real pleased with the 3os, Only got about Two weeks on them but no problems so far. Much better than the 20s. The only thing i would have liked to see changed is the charge port.

I keep a roll of black electrical tape in the top of my dog box...two wraps of tape just before you put it on the dog, and no more mud!

Bicycle inner tube over the charging port solved all the charging problems for me.

can anyone honestly say the range is any better.

i have 3 DC 20s that i get 1 to 2 miles out of in ideal conditions
but before i spend the money on the 30 i need to know if its worth it

When you do lose signal, do you still have everything on there when you regain signal? Like the trails that your dogs and you have took, are they still on there when you get service back? Also has any one used these in big mountains with deep hollers and heavy cover? How do they hold up in these conditons?

DC 30

HAVE NEVER LOST SIGNAL WITH IT. I LIKE IT ALOT. I HUNT ALOT OF BLUFFS UP AND DOWN STUFF ALWAYS IN CONTACT WITH COLLAR WOULD RECOMMEND IT. ALOT BETTER DESIGN.

I have had 20s and quite honestly could never keep one going very long they were inthe mail more than I was able to use them. I have 2 dc-30s now I wasnt the first to get one but close There is no comparison between the 2. I have found range to be better as well.If you get truck mount anntanae it will also make a huge difference in range. Now if we could only get garmin to trade out the junk 20s for 30s
