UKC MOH NEEDED NOV 8th DANVILLE INDIANA, WILL PAY BIG $ FOR YOUR SERVICE

The Central Indiana Coonhunters at Danville Indiana, was informed yesterday that the MOH for the Bench Show and Coon Hunt will not be able to make it. This has left the club in a bind and the club is willing to compensate for gas and time if your able. Since this is opening night of kill season we understand if you do this service that it will be expected to pay big. Please contact our UKC rep Lowell Lynn at 1-765-386-6603 asap to set this up.

skyblu, see if you cannot get a flight into indianapolis on saturday. I can pick you up, the ariport is only 25 minutes away and you can spend the night with us. After the hunt you can go pleasure hunting with us. We will also pay you $125 dollars. Call Lowell at 765-386-6603 asap.

MOH

I just left a message for Lowell. I will do it if the club pays for the ticket and they keep the other $125. Heck I would do it for free if I wasn't so far away.

lookinuptwo, thanks. Something I want to mention is we have a bench show to so we need to make sure whoever comes and do it be a Bench/Hunt MOH. THanks again and Lowell will get back with you.

I left a message

I'm not interested in the extra payment, just can't afford the airfare.

Heck when the said they would pay big bucks I didn't think that they would want to pay $226 for a ticket to get someone there. I would have volunteered sooner.

Lautzenhiser CAll the listed number

My airfare would be more than $500 & that's a LOT of expense for a small club. I talked with Lowell at length & I believe SOMEONE who lives CLOSER would be a better choice. This is a small club & they could use some help that would be less expensive than what it would cost them for ME to fly in. If they're STILL in a bind & I can get a flight Saturday morning with a return flight Sunday morning I'll DO it. But DANG that's a lot of money!

Thanks to Thom Hacker of Greencastle for stepping up and saying that he don't want to see a local club go down without a MOH. He will be our MOH on Saturday night. Thanks for the few that said they would come. The fact is there is nothing worst then going to a UKC hunt and not having one because of the lack of communication between the MOH and club officials, to our little club it would be worth the money to pay out than to let one person take the time to drive, gas money and hoping to compete their dog in an event that they made weekend plans for and end up showing up at our little club and not get to hunt. Treat your club members and fellow competition hunters the way you would want to be treated and it will come back for you some day in a good way. God Bless.

FYI check out the posts on the UKC changes for 2009. The institution of the option of using Hunt Directors instead of MOHs will help alleviate just this sort of problem. We have been in this situation before and we even paid hunters gas money once who showed up and we could not take them to the woods.

The option to have a hunt director starting in 09 is the best thing that ever happened for our area.

Thanks to Tom Hacker for giving up opening night of kill season and being are master of hounds. Also thanks to Joe Whitaker for doing the same and volunteering to guide and judge.
