Mass Confusion on the way!!!!!
Jeremy, Todd M. stated at multiple events, and in the books, that the first 120 dogs would have 1st choice to run in either the morning or afternoon. I believe that this could quite possibly be a recipe for confusion on the morning of the hunt. The only way that all of the numbers would work quick and easy, would be if we had all non-hunting judges and guides. But we don't. I was told that the number of 120 dogs, was due to the amount of guides available in the morning, and the rest in the second round. That's fine, but the club host has no control of what person's or dogs were entered by the numbers on their confirmation letter. What I'm getting at is if out of the first 120 entered, if they all want to run in the morning, and there isn't enough judges or guides due to being from out of state or whatever the reason, they would be forced to take a higher number entrant in place of. Maybe they will pick out all the judges and guides, and what ever is left would be a first choice on when to hunt based on the number on your confirmation letter. Also Ldkennel is right, the confirmation letter lists two different times for the deadline for round 1b. This is a problem. My entry number is 171, and it states, am. I would have thought that it would be round 1b. but I did the math, and it would be possible for me to go in the morning as well, only if enough people didn't want the morning. Maybe since the coonhound world is done, I hope these few questions will be looked at and replyed to. One other question, are they going to make everyone get in line in numerical order. Yea, right, how would that happen. I just see confusion in the makes. Hopefully Allen or Todd can clear this up. Me personally don't care really what round I run, but the people that have multiple dogs, or want to run afternoon etc. will need to have some clarification before Saturday. Jeremy, Maybe you guys, or Phil already have it figured. Let us know if you would. Thanks in advance. Jeremy Geiger
