anyway to heal faster??

last weekend out hunting i had a coon shot out alive to give my young dogs some fightin and my bluetick got ripped up real good, a piece out of the nose and a big chunk out of her ear almost ripped all the way through and towards the top of her ear.. i tried to wrap it up but it just slides off and it scabs up but it gets ripped off and hangs off her ear.. it doesn't seem to bother her but i figured it is a bit painful. i put some cream stuff on it to stop infection and help ease pain, but it doesn't seem to be scabbing anymore..

is there anyway to possibly wrap this to where it will stay or what should i do with it?

thanks for any input

Only thing I can think of is sew it up. Might be too late for that.

yeah its too late to sew it up, the hair gets all matted up from the scab and blood and so it just dangles from her ear but then it all gets dried up and rips again....

Hey Alex,
Long time. Try cow salve or Utter balm. ( Same thing)
It's thick and stays put. Just leave it open and clean it everyday.
Most farm stores carry it. The nose is a hard one. They always lick it off. That one will take a while. Leinie lossed a big old chunk last fall. It took a couple of weeks for it to completely heal.
They heal faster if you don't run them.
Say hey to Dana.
Scott

Use Cutheal. Get it at coops and farm supplies. Use twice a day till healed. It heals fast fast. I keep a bottle in the truck year round. Had a dog last week catch a bobcat on the ground and tore her up pretty good. The Cutheal has her back on track.

Hi Alex,I have found recently a product called Fura-Zone,it comes in a black and yellow plastic jar and can be found at most fleet /farm stores or runnings.I like the results I have gotten using it on our stags (coyote dogs). They seem to heal quickly and it takes the sting out of the cut or wound. It don't cost an arm and a leg either.Good Luck "deamon"

Granulex V best I have ever used. Super glue is over rated jmo.Have had some bad cuts that the granulex really promoted healing time.

I don't think there saying its wrong but that is the outcome sooner or pater. I shoot to kill and every once in a while one will catch an ear and fall out with a little fight but not on purpose. I also use EMT gel or superglue after you clean it real good.Trust me they get enough action without trying to knock one out alive....
