Gas milage ????????????

I drive a toyota 2 wheel drive pickup. I get 26 miles to the gallon. Or that's what the sticker on the truck said anyway back when i bought nearly 2 years ago. Is there anybody getting any better gas milage with a pickup truck?

run a fuel injection cleaner threw it.not the junk you but at a store either. go to the dealership or whatever shop you trust and have it run threw a vaccumn line. do once a year or every 18000. trust me, it will help.also change the fuel filter when rec. by toyota. if you have any valvoline instant oil changes go to them.they have a three part cleaner for about 100.00 bucks. misread your post, took anybody for anyway.lol. i got a s-10 i get around 25-30 mpg

These estimates vary with tire size, weight (lose 1 mpg per every 200lbs added), road conditions, no a/c, speed, gear ratio, and etc.

I assume his truck is a 2006 Tacoma.

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/findacar.htm

MPG Ratings: 18 city 25 Hwy = Average of 21.5 (depending on conditions)

If he’s getting 26 MPG then no injection cleaner is going to make a difference

I drive a 1998 ford f150 4x4 I get 14 mph around town 17 on the highway maybe 10 hunting.I am sure some would not like getting that kind of milage. But milage isn't that big of deal to me.I prefer horse power and comfort over gas milage.

My goodness. It's looking like an S-10 would have been the way to go instead of this toyota. I never would have thought it.

miller, i know how you feel. We have nearly Parked our Dakota w a 318 and pushin 33's. Thank goodness we also have a 97 Acura Integra, we only have to fill that one up every 350 miles, which for us works out to once every 2 weeks and it only costs about $30 to fill up.

I thought that once myself until i owned one. Good gas mileage, but didnt have enough power to get out of its own way.

Best gas mileage truck i ever owned was a '95 Mazda B2300. Didnt have alot of power but could run interstate speeds and accelerate while passing just fine. Pulled an 18' Fish&Ski boat out of most ramps just fine. Good little ole truck. Wish i still owned it.

At best it got 31mpg, later in life the best it would do was around 27mpg

The truck with the best listed gas mileage today is the Ford Ranger 4 cylinder with a manual transmission. It has been a while since I have looked, but I think it was something like 27 mpg.

Please note that is the manufacturer's listed mileage. I believe the GM small trucks are 1 mpg less.
