How would this be scored?

3 Dog cast. Handler of dog A is the Judge.
A,B,C all strike in that order.
A & B head deeper into the timber and dog C takes a different route and goes for the road and is seen on the road.
Handler of dog C wants to call time so they can catch their dog.
Handlers A & B do not want to call time.

How would this be handled?

Withdraw, go get my dog, and make a formal complaint on the two handlers

The judge should call time out because the dog was in danger!! Catch dog and when they scratch you. ? call. Then it all depends on how good the 2 handlers lie when they get back to the clubhouse.

why does it matter what kind of road it is....? it is a road because cars go down it....the possibility of a car coming down the road is there....

You can't call timeout without a majority voting in favor. In Camopups example, timeout could not be called and a formal complaint would be worthless because no rule was broken. All handler C can do is withdraw and catch his dog. That is the rule, like it or not.

That rule DOES NOT need to be changed! Why leave a guide in total control of deciding timeout needs to be called for dogs getting close to a road? Only to find out it may have just been a farm road or not even a road at all, just a slick handling move by a crooked guide. Ive seen guides try it too! Ive also seen dogs get close to a major highway and none of the handlers wish to call timeout. If mine gets close to a road and the majority agrees not to call timeout, I just catch mine and go to the truck. It aint worth losing a good dog.

They are not just SCORE KEEPERS. They are hunting judges who have COMPLETE AUTHORITY of the cast! If a handler dont agree with a call, they can question it and vote on it. I cant stand to draw a judge that wants to vote on every call without first scoring it himself.
