Hey, thanks. Believe or not I did drive to NC to get my pup. She is a year old today and I wanted to get her a collar. The trip was well worth it for the pup but don't think I'll make it again for a collar. ha I want one that's at least 2 inches wide with spikes.

Google "HotDogCollars". They have about a dozen different spiked collars in all the designer colors. Perfect for the coonhound couch spud.

i think it boils down to protection from some of those fantastic "high powered" competition style dogs.

My old Walker stud chews on those spiked collars to keep his teeth cleaned. It was all that was left of the last bluedog he drew.

Buddy of mine used to hunt Cutter in PKC. There was a Dog Fight in the Breeders Showcase. he won Wednesday and Thursday. Nick Got him eat up by a Black and Tan out of Alabama. I didnt know that. my dad got Cutter two weeks later and he reeked with infection. he had been bitten just above the wrist and it was all the way through. missed the bone though. he wad a big hole in his back and at the top of his leg and on his head. took me forever to get him to tree with another dog. Cutter and a coyote had a little understanding on the hill about a month ago. He booger barked and i heard a weird bark. some growls and then it was over. took him off a tree an hour later. he had a big gash in his side. now getting back to that infection. it has been over a year ago and we are still fighting it out of his system. it keeps comming back and i blame Nick for not taking Cutter to the vet. He is a lousy person to leave your dogs with people and Nick I just HOPE you happen to stumble across this!

I just wish that I had a dog smart enough to tell what KC it was hunting in on any given night, to know when to fight and when not too!!!

Hey Jim, thanks for revealing your source but that's not really what I'm looking for. I bet your dogs look real purdy laying up on the couch. What colors did you go with?

Roosterrun- I will try Nite Lite. I love going to that place. Thanks!
