needle and thread

Does anyone stitch their dogs? How bad do they have to get before you stitch them? Do you have to muzzle them or am I talking to the wrong crowd and should be on the BIG GAME hunting message board? LOL!

Staples

Try a surgical staple gun and staples... easy quicker etc...
Muzzle may be a good idea on some dogs not on others. Would need to know your own dogs, would depend on if you have help etc... I've never done it but would without hesitation. You can rig up a muzzle with gauze roll or even a ripped shirt etc... or a leash.
Any way... my point is the staple material is available from hound supply places etc... Seems MUCH quicker than stitching. I've stitched a horse and it isn't very quick. I've also stapled humans and taken them out, it's very quick.

Good luck! I think it's a goos skill to know if you have working dogs. Happy Hunting, Heather
