And what is wrong? If she barks until you get there she has done her job. If she shuts up after you get there then you don't get your hearing messed up.

I've had a couple of dogs that did this and I loved it.

I would't worry about it yet. Some young dogs will do this .Seems like they are waiting for you to find the coon and shoot it down.If you watch... what does it do when you shine the tree. You might see it looking with you.I have seen this happen myself with young dogs.It seems like a phase they go through.

If she trees until you get to the tree and then shuts up, why do you think you can not competion hunt her? There is no rule that she must bark after you arrive at the tree. Just inform the cast how she does and if some one tries to minus her for shutting up AFTER the cast arrives, question it and if neccessary file a complaint. And if at least one other dog is treed and barking she could not be minused anyhow even if she quit barking before you get there as long as she is there.

Dont shoot any coons to her and encourage her to bark, she is just a smart dog.

It really saves them in the hot summer time. Let the other dogs burn themselves up while shinning and she is resting.
