What an exciting line of hounds...

I wouldv'e really liked to get this posted sooner, but could everybody please send a prayer up for my sister, she is 7 months pregnant and had to have her Appendix removed and is in a lot of pain....I have been in the hospital with her ever since i got back from a few coonchases on thursday night. Well, on thursday a guy from a few hours down the road came by to hunt and pick up the 11 month old lightly started Male pup (Thor) that he bought. we took him, his sire ( GRCH PR WILKINSON'S JEBB DNA-P) and his dam ( CH PR MORGAN'S LOSSES HILLS DAWN). After Thursday night I felt so thankful and blessed to have access to such a fine line of hounds, and also to KEEP IT ALIVE!!!!! well first dump started out as the 3 above. We cut loose, and i hear Dawn strike but I was unsure of what direction she was in....about 3 minutes later, Jebb and Thor struck a nice hot track up the hill a few hundred yards....Jebb starts throwing locates and finally settles down into a nice ahrd steady chop (now being 11 he wasnt as loud as he used to be and he has slowed down SO much). Thor met as at the tree, was checking it like there was no tommarrow and sits down into a hard steady chop just like his daddy. The tops were WAY too thick to see anything but SUMMER LEAVES!! and so we couldnt find anything, but with confidence we knew it was there....here are the pictures of Jebb and his boy treeing together....
Thor on the right, Jebb on the left ( if you couldn't tell! lolol)

Here are the pictures of Thor after we pulled Jebb off...they headed back to the truck and Jeff and I stayed at the tree and tied Thor up to let him do his thing....he is a VERRY classy tree dog AND MAN IS HE LOUD!!! I wish the best of luck to you Jeff with him and hope you can win a few hunts with him!!!

then it was time to go get Split Tree Dawn!! We drove around to the back side of the woods were she was treed right off the side of a gravel road (she's always the easiest to get to LOL!) and her tree was SO VINY AND THICK it was unbelievable....I really wish we had the good enough vision to find her coon but I knew it was up there and so did she!!!lololol.....ps...check out those new TRCKER LIT COLLARS....have one on all the dogs but Jebb....do you like? I know i really do and you can really see what your dog is up to!!!

Well, then by this time Jeff was ready to head home and we were ready to switch dogs.....This time we only took my 17 month old English female, Rebel, and a 3 year old Walker male (Rock)....we arrived to the area were we were going to cut the dogs. I got Reb out of the box and hooked her to the tailgaite while I got her collars all strightened up. I went to put her lit collar on right as she threw her head in the air and started aSCREAMIN!!!! I finally got her to hold still long enough to put her collar on and we walked up to the woods (on the edge of a bean field) and Rock struck off the leash which is really unusual, so we then knew there was a coon that was in the beans and we scared him out! well, Reb and Rock opened about the same time and then rock started to locate around and i heard rebel treein.we hurried in there and Reb was in a hole and Rock was runnin around her wanting a peice of it! we pocked a stick deep down in and heard a coon growl. man was I proud of Rebel that she could hold the pressure and what an improvement since last week!!

wow did I have a great time and it gave me a chance to realize that I have some good coondogs and a line to be thankful for. I feel so blessed to be hunting these dogs 5 nights a week!!!!

happy hunting and Take care
Kellie

WOW!

Thor looks fantastic! You know how I feel about the others, especially Jebb but I'm impressed with those pix of Thor! SO glad things are goings so well for you and your hounds! You ARE blessed! What a way to grow up... you have Much to be Thankful for and the coolest thing is... you let us all KNOW how thankful you are!
We have sent thoughts and prayers for your sister and the baby. Bob felt terrible when I read him the post yesterday about the appendix... he had that surgery years ago and said it is terribley painful... so he sent some extra strong prayers I bet!

Keep up your great worka nd keep that wonderful spirit of yours going! Your energy is CONTAGIOUS!

HappyHunting! Heather and Bob

Red Rebels~ yea, Thor does look A LOT like his daddy. You shouldve seen him in person....he was the exact same brindle and he was big and lanky. His voice is so blasting loud, he sounds a lot like ol' Jebb as well!

Heather & Bob- thanks so much for your prayers. She is feeling a little better today, and she is finally allowed to eat solid food. This is an AWESOME way to grow up, These hounds are what make my life complete and I couldn't possible be any happier to follow any one of them...I will always love these hounds and they will live in my heart forever!!!

happy hunting and take care

You remind me of a young me...only I was a city kid but animal crazy...of course I'm still animal crazy(or just crazy? )

You and your sister have alwasy impressed me. You are mature yet full of youth, polite, caring, hard working etc.. You are a sign of being WELL brought up by a good family. I am not so easily impressed by human youth alot of the time(including mine...LOL)... but you girls are the way I'd LIKE my children to be. Your parents should be proud.
Seeing you doing this at your age reminds of my horse camp days and showing and the days before I taught but was learning the skills I needed. My BONUS of having the hounds at camp obviously was lifechanging...
I think alot of people on here should look at you all and wish to be like you, to have kids be like you etc... I've "met" and actually met a few really impressive kids on here and it warms my heart.
Glad your sis. can be eating again... poor thing. I can only imagine how scared she had to be with the baby! I look forward to watching that little one running thru the woods with you guys in the future!
Take care, Heather (Bobs not home but I'll let him know your sister could eat )

Thanks so much Heather! Your words mean A LOT to Kellie and I. And I will pass the compliments on to my Mom, as we pretty much grew up w/o any influence from Dad (that's a good thing if you know what I mean) I know it would mean a lot to her to hear what a good job she has done! I think it is probably every parent's wish to know that their hard work and effort has paid off and I sure am glad that we have a Mom like her.....

When Katie has her baby I will be sure to post MANY pics of her! We love babies and the whole time we were in the maternity ward this weekend we were hoping for new babies every day! lol...There were two or three and they were gorgeous! We can't wait!

Anyways, thanks so much again for your thoughts and prayers.

Hey Kellie...

....I feel very strongly that YOU inspire me! I see so many kids around here who worry me... about the future.... then I see hard workers like you and your sister and some other youth on here as well and I am reminded of MY childhood and horse camp and working SO hard for a goal. I was lucky to have parents who believed in me and my desire and encouraged me to work so hard. I was pretty well off and alot of my friends were super rich. Somehow almost all of us in my circle of friends were not spoiled and worked hard. My sisters thought I was spoiled having horses...wondered why THEY didn't.... LOL... I was the only FOOL in my family who was planning on a horse career.... As much as my parents tried to discourage it... believing it would not support me- they let me do my thing and be a working student(slave labor really ) etc... and it was my career... and for a few months before my accident...it supported me AND my son! I had reached my goal! My DREAM! WOOooHOOOoo!
Keep dreaming, setting goals, reaching them, surpassing them, sometimes even missing the mark... but keep YOUR positive outlook! It is refreshing!!!! YOU are a bright star....
and Thank YOU! Heather

Oh No.. Kellie... I forgot to tell you guys WE can't GO to AO this year!...I hurt my low back.... can't do such a long drive. I'm SO sorry that I forgot to tell you guys... I spent the first week avoiding thinking about it cause I'm heart broken. It's THE trip for me and Bob all yr... Now I feel WORSE! I am trying a new brace for the lowest part of my back/hips when I sit. It sort of helps....
WELL... here's the scoop... since we wont be there I'll be here on the computer...hopefully someone will take TONS of pix and post each day like I did last yr! SO... you'll have to get lots of pix taken of you guys!
Rest assured I'm working hard to get the back healed up. If this doesn't do it Ill get my butt to the Drs and not wait like I've done in the past! SO... I will plan on the next year! I just told Bob...he feels terrible too.... BUT said we'll be sure to keep money aside that we had from this yr to pay for NEXT yrs trip!
Your words mean so much and when I need an uplifting REASON to try to heal etc... It's people like you who give me the extra push
Heather

...it sux beyond belief...I feel awful about it! Bob and I were thinking we may actually just FLY there in 09 and save my back if it's at all messed up...and I HATE to fly but will if it's the only way to get there!
Will be waiting for the updates and the PIX!
You know the worst part of it...is that I did this at a wedding. Good friends got married, I DO NOT dance. I can't, I'm truly a terrible dancer. WELL...everybody but me who stayed late was DRUNK...so I decided no one would remember me...dancing up to the dance floor with the groom.... to a DISCO song! .... well we went flying past the bride and I HEARD it CRACK... Nearly fainted.... Hey, at least no one saw me dance
I'm trying not to be too bummed out about it...but I am. Of course now I wonder who else I forgot to tell.... SIGH.
Have a GOOD night! HappyHunting, Heather
