I think my first ever dog was out of that same breeding- she was a plott and would go 5 miles out of the way to tree in a cemetary.Yeah, I know, the inhabitants of a cemetary aren't going to bother me, but here it is 20+ years later and I still won't go in a cemetary at night.

I remember a cur dog advertised in Full Cry a few years ago named Slopbucket, and about every dog I've ever owned has earned the name " You Stupid *&^%$#@@#$%^&*())(*&^%!@###&!!!!!" at one time or another.

A partner and I have a pair of pups that are double Bellar's Saigon bred, their daddy is Psycho.

We TRIED to name the female...Cooper's Psycho Exgirlfriend (call her X), but I guess UKC found that offensive.

Or maybe the name just brought back bad memories for somebody.

Knew a b &t in McMinniville, Tn. named "Knothead". He was too, but so was the owner so you can't blame the dog.

names

Had a friend in NC called his dog PR Hog House dingleberry

I hated that name, i hunted that dog in a few hunts, made for a few laughs.

I let my daughter at 4 name a dog for me and I kept my word, not so bad but very girly. She named the dog "Flower" but she made Grand and was as good a coondog as Ive ever walked behind, so that made it easier. kept her for 9 years.

Now that you mention it,

My wife and I are thinking about naming our new pup "Huh?". We cracked up a good part of the evening coming up with lines like, "What dog is that" my anwer is Huh! and it continues on like Abbott and Costello. You get the the idea.

There's a bluetick in southeast Missouri named something like blue vein throbber. I about fell out of my chair when I heard that dog drawn to a cast.

when we had our last litter of english pups we had one that was a lemon and white. we kmicknamed him lemon. well i don't know if you've ever seen that ad on tv for 1-800- lemon law but every time i called that pup thats what i thought of. so we ended up calling him milarken's lemon law. the pup i kept is huge and is knicknamed big boy. but when i registered him i named him milarken's jericho jake hawkins. i loved the show jericho and my favorite charactors in it were jake and hawkins. i showed this pup up in richburg ny for their special english show and the judge asked me what i called him; jake or hawkins. i told him neither. i call him big boy.
when i was a kid i had a cocker spaniel. best friend i ever had. we traveled everywhere together. probably walked miles with that dog. but the poor thing! i named him slinker stinker gollum smeagal out of the lord of the rings.

not that the name was so funny but the situation was, when we were kids we had a litter of half coonhound half greyhound pups for water racing and field trialing, my brother who was like 5 at the time picked a lemon and white one and named it Blackie!
