Questions About ELVIS PUPS

Fellows i have a 10 month old elvis male that i bought from wesley as a pup and he is the best thing i have ever had i do believe. He is doing it all by hisself already. And im wanting to start hunting him in hunts but i have heard alot of people say that a good number of elvis dogs are MEAN. Mine has never been hunted with any other dogs. He jus took off by hisself. But i am just trying to figure out what to expect before i put him with other dogs. And i know the only way to really tell is to hunt himwith other dogs. But i was just wondering how mean they are or if it just a bunch of bull****....i will be greatful for all answers.

you herd wrong.l yes there are a few that are mean but 99% of them are just fine with other dogs. i have had a few and none of which were mean all of which were early starters and finishers.
good luck.
ps. i would wait a while before comphunting that pup.. just my opinion.

This message board is often times worse than the National Enquire...

Hunt your dog and quit worrying about the crap that you read on here!!!

Just for the record... you have not heard alot of people say that they are mean if you are going by what you read on here.

I have a 13 month old elvis female. She was champion on the bench in AKC and UKC before she was a year old. She is a bit honery but never mean. I kept her inside until she was 5 months old. A bit spoiled but will hunt on her own. A early starter, she can wind a coon quicker and with more accuracy than a lot of dogs I've seen and heard of! Other than her attitude, she's quite the dog!!

I have raised 5 and hunted with 20-30 others.... out of all of them I have scene two that were a little agressive. Neither were "mean" dogs, they were just impatient, if dog mouthed or blew at them they couldnt take it and would give it back!
