Ole Jarvis purchases Buckwheat for $130,000 from J.C. And now Jimmy Burdin is no longer going to hunt him!?!? What is this world coming to when you have someone paying $130,000 for a dog...some people just want the name?? or do you all think it will look pretty good with Jarvis as the owner of the winningest hound in history??? I kinda believe thats exactly what the $130,000 price was all about...Very soon Buckwheat will be the all time money leader soon.

May not be very soon. As long as Mr. Jarvis is working for PKC then i dont believe a dog registered in his name will be allowed to hunt in PKC hunts.

I might be wrong and have been more than right but i dont see buck winning consistant without jimmy handling him, Jimmy and Buck had a bond and when i would hunt with them i seen it, and there is no doubt Buck is a COONDOG. JMO and you know what they say.

my opionion if jarvis wants to win with Buck he better put Jimmy on his payroll also LOL

first the rumor was russ bellar bought him for 125,000 at the truck hunt and now it jarvis has bought him for 130,000 and is a pkc employee and can't hunt a dog in the hunts in his name so don't see why a man would pay that for a dog when he knows he can't hunt the dog. don't think this is true. boo boo can clear it all up he will know if anyone.

Not saying this is 100% true, just a rumor that was told to me by some inside people.

Besides, the 130,000 really has no relavence like it does to most middle class folks like myself...100,000 dollars to J.C. or Bellar and Jarvis is like 100 bucks to most of us.

I am just in awww that it would take that much to buy a dog.

If this is true , what is the big deal ? In my opinion , if a man pays $100 for a dog or $1,000,000 there is no difference if they have the means it is their own money . To be the most winningest hound in history , I would say he is worth every penny . I personally do not have that kind of money but if I did , I would like to own a dog of that statue and honestly who wouldn't? That is just my opinion not that it matters. I am just a small time coon hunter , but I am proud to be a member of PKC and I appreciate what all the employees do for the organization , no matter what they pay for a dog.
