I can think of a couple like that.
One got the message that he was gonna get barred if he kept coming to nite hunts, so he's pretty much quit.
The other one is not that bad to hunt with, he just tries to manipulate the rules and argue to his benefit. He'll make you know the rules and judge strictly to keep him in line, but if you do, he's not really a problem to hunt with.
The thing is, if you have someone that nobody wants to hunt with, then take the bull by the horns and take some action. If he's cheated, then report him to UKC. If he's just a jerk, then club management needs to take action. I know its easier said than done, and most good folks are slow to kick someone out of an activity thats supposed to be fun for everybody.
If nothing else, tell the club officers that you will no longer come to their events if ____ is there. Chances are, they've heard this before, and the more folks that will stand up and say so, will give them something to take some action on.
