Rainy Night Split Trees

We tried hunting Teddy and Sally on Sunday Night, thought with the warmer weather that the snow would have gone down a bit. On our drive to our spot I spotted a coon in someone's drive way, they were up and moving so it was looking good already! Not! Lol
We cut the dogs right on top of some deer that we must have jumped while walking in, and those were about the only critter moving in that block! We waited and walked around for about a half hour, seen where the dogs had checked a tree and really thought about it, but they went on. We finally seen Sally and got her called in and then got Teddy called in right after.

So we were at it again last night.
The snow was still clinging to the woods and it started raining pretty good. We Cut'm and Sally struck right off, hushed a minute and then carried it on again, then hushed. About 5-10 minutes later we heard a shotgun go off not too far from the direction Sally went. That was a little freaky, but we didn't have the tracker with us to know if they did go further that way or not. We waited a little longer and decided to throw a hook in the woods and go grab the tracker back at the truck. We passed a fresh coon track and got about 75 yards past it when Teddy rolled up treed behind us. Sure enough he had that one tracked down and it was a nice big'n too. Still no Sally.

We waited about 10 minutes hoping he might call her in, but no she had to go and Split tree! Lol
She was right back where she started her track earlier, which was clear on the opposite side. She was treed hard and just as we were almost there she quit, minute later (I timed her) she was back Treeing. But just as we were closing in she came into us, then she did go back. We searched it but couldn't find a coon. Actually we didn't see any tracks around the tree either. Can't get them all the time I guess.

Here's a couple pics. Had some more but they're kind of spotty from the rain drops glaring.

Teddy's Tree,

Sally's Tree,
