look winter classic result question

I have been asked to raise this question. When you send in your registration form for the winter classic should they not give a person information about how to contact an association of there choice, if that association is going to be given awards also?

If not on registration maybe when you get to ukc desk for conformation of the hunt they should ask are you a member of an walker or english or whatever...

On sat night Cornell Hill was high scoreing grandnite english dog with ukc but said he was not aware that he had to pay an english association fee to be a member and when a the winners were called he was expecting to be high scoring dog but was not.........

Not looking for fight just good clean opinions.

In my oppinion the English association give it to who they want to anyway. I handled a dog for a buddy of mine a few years back at a breed hunt and was high scoring dog. I looked for 3 days to make sure he was a paid up member and to see if I had to be a member for the dog to be eligible and knowone could help me. Well the B&T association awarded me the trophy and took the pictures and then the Engish association called the owner and told him they wanted there trophies back. You can guess what his response was. By the way I still look at those trophies everyday. I feel that if they are awarding trophies at any hunt they should have a representative there to take care of things. But that rarely happens. JMO

In my opinion it is not up to any kc to keep up with a breed association members. I would say that most people know that they cant get a trophy for something they are not part of.
But the breed associations should be set up some where selling memberships. At our up coming B/T sectional I will be there selling memberships and will try to make sure whom ever is participating has one or atleast offered.
When I bought my Blue dog I joined the BBOA and the SBA. Just in case I am in a hunt or show where they might be present. if not I have suported the breed. JMO
