try to find someone you can hunt with that has a tree dog that should really help.or get you a caged squirrel and move it up a tree just enough so they cant get it then pet the hair off them once they start barking up at it.thanks ron

all you can do is find a well populated squirrel woods and set the trap with some corn.try not turning the squirrel loose until you get them treeing on it good.get them real excited before turning it loose.thanks ron

How old are the curs? If they are just pups, just keep working with them.

Starting Cur's

At 7 months of age I would push the panic button just yet. You could get a squirrel tail and tie it on the end of as pole attach the squirrel tail to piece of cord say 3 feet long then attach it to the pole. Get them to chaseing the tail then run it up the side of a tree and see if they will bark up. Only let them bark up a minute or two then make them chase the tail again and run it up a tree again. Take them for walks 3 or 4 times a week where they will have the opportunity to see squirrels.

Curious...read your thread and you've received all the advice I'd give but I am curious that on your signature it says Amazing Bow...is that out of our line? If so, which cross?

Thanks!Amy Kovac-Thomas
