Red River Polly

Polly was out of Nt Ch Jerry's Red River Scooter and Tree Jam'n Wendy. Polly was a true coondog that had a nose that only few dogs have. She could definitely drive a track and tree a coon that you could find. Polly was a reproducer of her likeness too. She reproduced on just about everything she was bred to.

If we are talking about the same Red River Polly, she is out of Red River Scooter up top. GrNtCh Jerry's Red River Polly? Polly produced more dogs to make it to the final 4 of the Super Stakes hunt that just about any dog I can think of. Now don't take that to the bank...She has had quite a few make it. If I could pick any dog to get a pup out of, it would be her.

Thanks for all of the info. I was having a really hard time finding any ped info on her. Besides China don't see her show up much on any of the online pedigree's that you see on ukc or pkc's site. Do you know what there titles were by any chance?

Scooter was a NtCh, and Wendy wasnt titled. From what I have heard about Wendy, she was a good country man's coondog. China was out of her, Moon (won the superstakes many yrs ago, was out of her)...The Stylish Lee dog that has placed many times in the top 20 of the UKC World, is out of her. I have a full brother to the Lee dog that is out of her, and he is a GrNt. She has produced some good ones. Phillip McMahon hunted that strain of dogs for a long time. Jerry, the man that raised Polly continues to hunt that bloodline.
Do you have a hound out of her?

I appreciate all the info and help you have given me. I bred my female out of Credit River Tucker and The Truth Dog to the Ole South Stylish Lee dog. I just didn't know much about red river polly and couldn't seem to find it anywhere. She seems that she produced some nice dogs!!!!

Snake1oz, you are welcome. Wish I could tell you more about her pedigree, but I don't know it. I can tell you all you want to know about Polly and some of her offspring. Jerry and Phillip can tell you all about Polly, her offspring, and her entire pedigree. She was definitely a coondog, and she produced her likeness in many of her offspring. Cold nose, tracking ability, drive, consistency, and accuracy is what separated Polly and her offspring from the rest. With drive, I mean the drive and toughness to tree a coon in the toughest conditions all night long. They wouldn't out-hunt the woods they are turned loose in, but when you turn'em loose, you are going to get'em from a tree, and more than likely look at a coon. I am trying to double up on Polly with my male and another female out of her.
