That's it!! My patience have run way too thin...bit all my nails off and pulled out all my hair. I'm jonesin' for puppy pics. LOL!!

OK, OK ALREADY!!

A girl just can't get a break these days!! I have been busy with the babies, everybody's been sick or cutting teeth lately. LOL. And the rain didn't help at all... but I'm not complaining, we sure needed it.

Here's a few shots I took this past weekend. I'm going to try and get individual shots this weekend now that they are all I.D and numbered. Sure better shape up, you guys are going to give me the boot if I don't right?! LOL.

Speaking of the rain...

That first night of storms with the heavy wind was tramatic on these guys. Heard a loud crash and a huge racket about 1:30am. Looked out the window and saw no dog pen! Ran outside and the wind was so strong it picked up that pen and carried it up the hill! The whelping box was pushed all the way to the end of the concrete, and the pups were scattered everywhere. They were wet, scared, and cold. Poor things, I hovered over them for days sure they were going to be sick... nobody got injured or sick, hard to believe. Tied the pen down with concrete blocks for anchors, don't think that will happen again!

Wow Suzanne, the pics of the children are beautiful. What a wonderful calm feeling looking in to thier eyes. The pic of Will is breathe taking. And Macey's is adorable.

It got real bad here too. The night we went to the river and got the pics of the hounds, trees were down everywhere. I know those poor little pups were terrified !!! OK OK so all the bad things we said about you being a bad puppy mom, we take back. We know now you were taking care of more important things. What a scarry thing to happen to them. Sabrina

Will get my new pup on Sat. the 3rd of Nov. Then I can get some Pic's. Havent even had a new pup in a few years. But them are some nice looking red pup's.

Gonna have to wait on those pics a while... had to take the momma to the vet this afternoon. She wasn't acting quit right yesterday, and was a little swollen. To be expected since she's weaning right now, by this morning one tit was the size of a baseball. When she got to the vet, two baseballs... VERY bad case of mastitis with severe infection in her body. Unfortunately, she has fluid in her lungs, a 104.5 fever, and a great deal of infection internally. We'll find out in the morning if she is going to make it.

So, our babies have their first night alone with it 34 degrees outside... They are very confused and keep running around the outside of the whelping box, guess they figure she's hiding.

Thoughts and Prayers

For your Momma dog! Hope she will be ok. SOmetimes a nursing mom has more fight to survive than any other. They know they have pups to care for so they give it their all. I hope this is the case here.

Well, that night the vet said we were looking at a 50/50 shot with her. The next morning, she was up eating and drinking and seemed to be feeling some what better. They loaded her up with antibiotics, IV fluids, and painkillers. Had to lance her on all four sides of the swollen teat for drainage. Within 24 hrs. she seemed like a totally different dog and was acting much better.

September came home with a TON of medication... she was looking good until today. Seems she's taken a turn for the worst so it's back to the vets office this evening. Not sure what the outcome will be at this point, we were so confident when we came home with her the other day... now, not so much.

We've got a happy, LOUD, hungry litter of 9 to take care of as well... they are all doing great and came through this with nothing more then some diarrhea (vet said this was due to drinking infected milk). They were prescribed kaopectate for 48 hrs. and are looking good. Roudy little snots who love to un-tie my shoe laces every time I come in the pen! They sure are cute though...

Momma's doing fine now. Most of the pups have left for their new homes.

redneck_girl Where'd you go? Got you a girl here that needs to go home!

Tomorrow is the deadline for making travel arrangements for them, let us know where you've been hiding!

Posted some new pics the other day on the Redbone classified ad for these pups. All the girls pics are on there, only got my boy's pic taken before it got dark, didn't get the other two males.

Talked to her last night, everyone is fine.
Had me worried too.

Now if I could just track down Richard Bull... haven't been able to get ahold of him since the first week of October. Considering sending out search and rescue if he doesn't surface soon. LOL.

Sorry about the disappearing act! Just a few Technical Difficulties around here lately.... everything has been ironed out.
We decided we're coming down this weekend! Finally!! I was hoping to leave Friday after work. Seeing as I get up at 3:45am, work all day, blah blah blah. I doubt that is going to happen. SOOOOO, I guess we're leaving before day break Saturday morning. I have no idea how long it'll take to get there... all I can say is, we should be there around noon-ish?

Sounds good to me! Drew went to feed a little bit ago and took the camera, hoping to get some shots before dark of them. Keep your fingers crossed, it gets dark so early now it's harf getting shots after work.
