Blueticks vs Treeing Walkers

.............huh. I knew that title would get your attention. lol!

OK, this is just a friendly reminder about a friendly little hunt coming up this weekend. Actually it's a pretty big deal. It's the final Purina Points Event on the schedule for 2007 and you are all invited to Ada, Oklahoma for the Battle of the Breeds!

I just checked the weather channel for Ada. Highs in the upper 60's and lows in the mid to upper 50's. Perfect weather!

The Battle of the Breeds was established as a friendly little rivalry between Blueticks and Treeing Walkers but all breeds are welcome.

The event will be held at the Pontotoc County Fairgrounds on HWY 99 in Ada.

Friday Bench Show Deadline - 3 pm $5
Dual Champion Class and Pairs. Certificates awarded.

Saturday Bench Show - 1 pm $15
Dual Grand Champion Class and Pairs. Trophies awarded.

Friday Hunt and Saturday Hunt Deadline - 7 pm $25

$500 awarded to high scoring dog of any breed Saturday night compliments of Purina.

$250 awarded to the high scoring Bluetick Saturday night compliments of BBCHA.

$250 awarded to the high scoring Treeing Walker Saturday night compliments of the SWTWA.

This event is co-sponsored by the Bluetick Breeders and Coon Hunters Association and the Southwest Treeing Walker Association.

Hosted by the Pontotoc County Coon Hunters Association.

Look forward to seeing y'all at the Battle of the Breeds!

I WONDER WHY PEOPLE SAY IT IS AN OFF BREED IF IT IS NOT A WALKER.

They tried to do the Blueticks without the Walker dogs and they couldn't come up with a winner !
So , now , they're afraid to leave the Walkers out of it. LOL

A couple years ago there was an all walker dog finals at the PKC world hunt that didn't score a coon.

I'm a Bluetick man, but that's funny right there, I don't care who you are.

Ada

I'd like to make a trip down there this time of year. Is it hills or flat lands? Big woods or mostly ditches?

The leaves are off and coon treeing should be good. Hope I draw out with three walkers to beat up on. Well on second thought, can you draw three walkers without getting an ill one? I don't think so.
