Historical Hunting Information

I do not know much about some of the great walker dogs that we see over and over in our hound's bloodlines. I'm not sure how many of the more experienced coon hunters read and respond to these threads on the message boards, but I would like to learn about some of the strong and weaker traits for some of the walker dogs like Sackett Jr., Ball's Stylish Hickory Nut Harry, Finley River Chief, Noctural Nailor, etc. I would like to know from folks who have hunted with these dogs if they were bawl mouth on a tract, deep hunters, independent, hard treeing, etc.

Everybody probably has their favorite, but I am more interested in what good and bad things they provided to their pups. If you have that type of information, I bet a lot of folks would love to hear your stories and thoughts about any of the great walker hounds.

Contacting Christy-Mudman

How do I contact Christy about hunting information on some of these cornerstones of the treeing walker breed? I am not really interested in who the sire and dams were as much as a description of how they hunted. I saw a video of Sackett Jr. and he was running an jumping up on the tree. I have one dog direcly out of Sackett Jr. who is a hard tree dog, but he hugs the tree (never seen him jump) while I have another dog out of Rock River Cord that tries to run up the tree. She will back off to get a running start sometimes before I can get there to tie her off or handle her.
I just curious if any of this information is out there. If someone does not want to put it on the message board, I would appreciate a PM.

Rex thanks for the photo of Chief!

Rick
