If I had a feeder, and I dont, I would have a one inch coupling glued on both sides with a small nipple between on this imaginary feeder tha I dont have.

1 inch to inch and a half. I use the threaded couplers so the can be changed.

i use 1 1/4 electrical connectors with lock rings they are a bit thicker so it takes the squirrels a little longer to chew them up but i like using tires on rims with 1 1/2 holes drilled in the side wall filled with corn and grape kool-aid better

1 1/4" PVC

drill a 1" hole in the bucket and take a torch and heat up around the hole and shove the pipe through and then add a little silicone and wah-lah your done.

My preference is 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 nipples but due to bears I've had to drop back to 1 in. A bear can stick his tongue in the larger nipples and empty the feeder but not with the 1 in. The 1 in does make it hard for the coons but they still get the feed.
