PLEASE...Help us find SID JR....PLEASE!!!

OH MY GOD WE ARE AT OUR WITS END!

JR HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE MONDAY NIGHT! TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, JASON HAS BEEN KEEPING JR AT HIS HOUSE BECAUSE JASON IS IN TRAINING TO START NITE HUNTING. THE COLLAR AND BOX USUALLY STAYS WITH HIM. FRIDAY NIGHT WE HAD THE COLLAR ON JR AND WENT WITH A BUDDY, AND INSTEAD OF CARRYING 2 BOXES WE TOOK OUR COLLAR OFF JR AND PUT ONE OF HIS ON. PUT OURS IN THE DOG BOX.

WELL, MONDAY NIGHT, JASON COULDNT SLEEP SO HE DECIDED TO TAKE JR OUT. WHEN HE DECIDED IT WAS LIKE 11:30. REMEMBERED WE HAD THE COLLAR IN THE DOG BOX, AND HE DIDNT WANT TO CALL AND WAKE US UP SO HE FIGURED HE'D JUST TAKE HIM ON.

WE'VE HUNTED HIM WHERE HE WAS TURNED LOOSE ABOUT 10 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS.

AND HONEST TO GOODNESS, EVERY TIME HE'S HAD A COON TREED IN LESS THAN A 10 MINUTE WALK. SO JASON JUST FIGURED HE'D DO WHAT HE NORMALLY DID AND JUST TAKE HIM AND TREE A COON WITH HIM THEN COME HOME.

UNFORTUNATELY, THAT DIDNT HAPPEN. HE SAID WHEN HE TURNED HIM LOOSE HE WENT UP THE CREEK LIKE NORMAL, AND BUDRO WENT WITH HIM, BUT HE NEVER HEARD EITHER BARK.

HE STAYED OUT TILL 5AM TUESDAY MORNING RIDING AROUND LISTENING FOR JR TO TREE, THINKING MAYBE THE COONS WERENT MOVING AND HE WENT DEEP.

HE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING.

I MADE FLYERS YESTERDAY AND THEY ARE PUTTING THEM OUT THIS MORNING.

WE'VE ROAD AROUND FOR 2 DAYS AND NOT SEEN OR HEARD ANYTHING. WE HEARD A DOG RUNNING WAY IN BEHIND JASON'S HOUSE BUT BY THE TIME HE GOT UP THERE AND OUT TO THE HELICOPTER PAD TO LISTEN, THE DOG HAD EITHER WENT ON OR WENT OUT OF HEARING.

WELL, IT WAS A BIG MISTAKE MADE WITH THE BEST OF INTENTIONS.

SEE, JASON'S DOG BUDRO IS MISSING TOO. WHEN JASON WALKED JR TO WHERE HE TURNED HIM LOOSE, BUDRO WENT WITH JR. AND BUDRO RUNS LOOSE AND KNOWS HIS WAY HOME. HE HASNT COME HOME EITHER.

NOW WE'RE BEGINNING TO GET VERY WORRIED THAT SOMETHING BAD HAS HAPPENED TO THEM.

I HAVE SEVERAL PICTURES OF JR, BUT NONE OF BUDRO. BUDRO IS A BLACK AND WHITE MALE HE IS NOT NEUTERED. HE IS 1/8 PITT, 1/2 LAB, 1/8PLOTT, AND 1/4 CURR. BUT HE'S BUILT ALOT LIKE A PITT, STOCKY MUSCULAR DOG. HE'S MOSTLY BLACK HAS SOME BRINDLE IN HIS BLACK, WHITE ON HIS CHEST, AND WHITE POINTS ON HIS FEET. HE HAS A SHORT TAIL. HE HAS ON A RED CLOTH COLLAR. HE IS ABSOLUTELY NOT MEAN, AND IS EXCELLENT WITH KIDS HE IS JASON'S 6 YEAR OLD SON'S DOG, AND EVERYONE JUST LOVES BUDRO.

A WOMAN SAW ONE OF THE FLYERS I MADE LAST NIGHT AND CALLED AND SAID THAT AT 10AM YESTERDAY MORNING SHE SAW JR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. SO WE'RE NOT GIVING UP HOPE UNTILL WE'RE SURE THEY'RE GONE.

PLEASE BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THESE TWO DOGS, THEY COULD BE ANYWHERE BY NOW!!! THEY COULD HAVE BEEN PICKED UP BY SOMEONE, WE DONT KNOW PLEASE HELP IN ANYWAY!!!

Christy, by both of them being gone is a good indication that they are still together. There's a lot of places in those mountains for a dog to get out of sight/hearing.

My gut feeling is that you will find your dogs. Don't give up, or lose heart.......not just yet.

Yikes, I hope you find them. Did they have tags with a phone number on them? They're probably at someones house by now and the people are trying to figure out how to get them back to their owner. I'd be sure to call animal control, animal shelters, an the police departments in a wide area around where you last saw them. I'd make a visit to each shelter and give them a picture so they can call you if they show up there. Let us know when you get them back....I bet it will be real soon!

I cant be of much help up here but i had a similar circumstance about 2 months ago. my dog was released from his kennel and luckily a week later a gentleman called and said he found him in his yard about 10 miles from home. I had lost all hope of finding him but he eventually turned.

Dont loose hope and i wish you the best of luck on finding both dogs.
Take Care

I know one thing for sure. If anyone calls you stating they are from a road crew or cable crew, etc....out of state that was in the area when your dog disappeared, and that someone from their crew has the dog and is mistreating it....but they need "reward" money wired via Western Union to them in order to get the dog back, hang up the phone.

A buddy of mine fell for this scam, before it was well known, and it cost him $150 or more.

Thats extortion, and its illegal. Should have went right to the police.

I had a guy catch one of mine one time, told me I was going to have to pay to get him back. Once I got all the information about where he lived, where the dog was ext. I told him I was going to the sheriff. He changed his tune quick about wanting money.

But I do always try give someone a little something if they have my dog and don't demand anything, tracking collars have about eliminated this.

I hope you get your dog back and this Jason guy learns a valueable lesson. Never turn a dog loose without a tracking collar. I have had thoughts of it myself but thought better cause you never know what could happen. I even run my collars while dogs are in the box on the way to hunt and back home. The reason being what if I am in a wreck and injuried really bad or killed my boy knows I take the magnets out just for that reason so if the dogs are not harmed and get out of the box somehow he can find them. Might sound stupid to some but not to me. I do hope you find the dogs safe and sound. Take care.

Yes, it's illegal, but he went to the police after the fact...and they couldn't do anything at that point. It's a well known scam that has gained national press over the last 7 years or so. This was in 2000. The guy knew what he was doing. No address. Public telephone. Western Union wire that couldn't be traced. My buddy was just desperate to get his dog back and flat fell for it.

5 weeks I would have been INSANE!!!! We've actually lost my female twice first time somebody took her off the tree and she was 35 miles from where we heard her treed. Second time she just got out of hearing and NO she didn't have a tracking collar on. When we got her back the second time I promised I'd never turn loose without a tracking collar. Jessica
