Going threw the trouble 2's

I've always heard that dogs go threw change when they hit two yrs old or they'll do some crazy things. Well my dog has been different alittle since after two. I know some will think i'm crazy an all. But I use to be on the dime everytime he would throw his locate. He use to throw one long dying bawl and change over to a chop. Anyone could call his locate, But now he'll just come up chopping or give some long bawls and keep tracking. He just isn't consistent with his locates anymore. Oh he still tree's mr. ole coon, but its just kinda hard to call him when not consistent with his locates. Will he finally settle in with one and keep it or what ? I was just wondering if anyone else went threw this or heard of this ?

My buddy has a four year old out of rock river gap that is acting just like that. Used to be able to put him on the paper every time with his locate. The best way i can describe it is like he will start treeing like he half believes himself. Then after that he'll settle down and tree right or he'll leave and tree it on out the track.

Yeah thats about right. when he was a puppy he would take a track so far and if he couldnt move it no more or having trouble with it he would end up twhere he couldnt do anything he would start treeing. He wouldnt just quit and come back in. Some of the guys around the house said i should put the shocker to him when he does that. But i was scared cause of how young he was and what he was doing that so young of age. That it would hurt him. By not wanting to hunt or get out away from me.
