Finally getting my new kennel started!!
Not sure exactly what the end result will be as I am by no mean a carpenter but I think myself as well as the dogs will really enjoy the new setup once its complete. Hopefully another week or so and it will be no more dead grass, no more holes dug, no more muddy mess to walk around in, and since there hasnt been any rain of any significance in the last 2 months, no more dust clouds floating around. The way my work schedule is I can only work a little at a time but right now I am just waiting for the concrete to cure out really good before I go out a hammering up panels and roof and such.
The ground was so hard we couldnt drive any stakes out to tie the posts off to so we had to improvise and I used several old concrete block I had left from our house to hold them up and hope the wind didnt pick up and blow them off level any. Good Lord must have heard me cause they all stayed true. Probably the only time since we lived here the there hasnt been so much as a breeze blow.

With the concrete poured. Each kennel run is 6x12.

When I had the concrete poured for the kennel I also went ahead and had a 10x20 breezeway and a 18x22 patio poured. Its funny to me that when me and the wife initially roped everything off to the size we thought we needed once the concrete was poured it looks much bigger.
