Check Out This Slide Show Of The UKC Youth Nationals

Just wanted to take an opportunity to let UKC know that the Youth Nationals created quite a stir around the Rockingham County area. As news editor of the local paper, I covered the event and ran front page spread with photos and story about the event. I had so many people comment on the fact that they never knew there was a coon hunt club in the area and how proud they were that a national event like this could be held in their community.

I did a multimedia slideshow about the event and it is still posted on one of our local websites. I especially appreciated the help of youth handler Whitney Boggs and bench show judge Amber Bradford with the interviews that made this slideshow very special. Even the dogs cooperated with plenty of "howling" for background sound effects.
The water race was especially awesome and provided some of the best photos for the show.

If you would like to view the show, it is located at www.reidsvillereview.com. Click on the multimedia tab at left and scroll down to the 2007 Youth Nationals show. Click on the start arrow to begin the show.

Please convey my gratitude to Todd Morgan and Jessica Rand for their assistance during the weekend.

AWESOME!

WHAT a DELIGHT to see the youth out there doing this! If I could do my childhood all over again I would have REALLY pushed my folks to let me do the dogs as well as or instead of the horses. I did 1 puppy match with a german Shep.Dog as an adult...and I was scared to death! Doing it as a kid would have given me MUCH more confidence! I'm just glad my parents let me go out hunting with the guys and dogs... It has brought me amazing friendship and partnership and so much to look forward to!

Nice slide show, Todd and all the people who work on the youth program!!!!! Don't ever stop working this hard!

Happy Hunting! Heather
